On Friday, Just The News reporter John Solomon shared unedited footage of the January 6 riot, which appears to contradict the audio used in the footage presented by the January 6 Select Committee during a Congressional hearing. The committee’s footage showed rioters breaking windows and entering the Capitol building during the January 6 election protests, but with added audio of people shouting “go, go, go” over sounds of windows breaking and loud bangs.

During the Capitol riots, a Capitol Police officer can be heard shouting “We have a breach in the Capitol!” This information comes from footage that was given to three journalists, including Solomon, by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Solomon shared the unedited footage for the first time on Friday, revealing that the sounds in the original footage were added in later by the committee’s production team.

“That footage was thrown in there to create a dramatic, movie-like effect. It’s no longer evidence now,” Solomon said. “It’s now been turned into, a little bit of propaganda. It’s one thing if they told the public that they did it, but they don’t.”

The committee altered the audio on an overhead video that showed the initial breach of Capitol Police lines in front of the building. They added sounds of a loud, angry mob to the video, just like they did with the CCTV footage from inside the building.
